I just wanted to share our enthusiasm for our residence designed by Michael. The design and spacial proportions are outstanding including 14’ ceilings, a 6’ wide staircase and many other unique features. I highly recommend using Michael. He is easy to work with and listens to our suggestions.
Michael Beirne and his architectural firm Arcaseum renovated my apartment in Little Italy in Manhattan.
The renovation was a complete gut and removal of two existing apartment units, and combination and rebuild into one unit.
The renovation could not have been done without Michaels extensive experience of working in New York City for many years, and his team of contractors and expediters.
Michael was fully engaged in all aspects of the project, and fully attentive and patient in providing assistance to myself in guiding the project from design, planning, city and condo board filings and interactions, to execution of construction and final completion documentations.
It was a pleasure working with Michaels and his contractor who worked assiduously to obtain the details to my satisfaction.

We recently completed a substantial renovation project to our beach house in Rhode Island. The project began when we met with Michael Beirne to explain how we wanted the house to be transformed, particularly the ugly front of the house. He nailed it with his first draft of a design for changing the front façade of the house. From that point on, we had very minor modifications to his initial plan. Michael worked closely with us in picking out windows, flooring, tile, sliding glass doors, and the materials for the façade of the house. He was completely engaged throughout the project, such that if I emailed a question to him , I would get a thoughtful response within 30 minutes. He came to meetings with my contractor and always had important improvements to the contractor’s ideas. Michael stayed involved during the entire eight months of construction and continued to make suggestions to improve the final product. He is incredibly knowledgeable about the practical and aesthetic design of a home. We could not have asked for a better partner to work with on this project, and we are extremely happy with the final result.
This was likely my final project, but if we ever decide to do something to our other home, then I will be calling on Michael again.

Silver Lake Cottage Condominiums was conceived as a viable alternative to the lack of quality living choices for the client who desired to downsize from their large homes. The idea was that this could work for many of my own former clients who were getting older and enjoyed the quality living of their current homes but could find nothing on the existing market to meet their needs.
Architect Michael Beirne and I worked together to first locate a suitable site or existing building that would meet this challenge. After over a year of searching, we landed on this wonderful old home right in the middle of our own town of Wakefield on the beautiful Silver Lake. Michael and I worked together from beginning to end of this exciting project. Michael brought his wonderful sense of space and vision for the outcome of the project, as well as his expertise in design and construction to the table. From acquisition, town permitting, design, build, interior design and sales, Michael’s advice and continued hard work and passion were essential to the success of the Silver Lake Cottage project. Had this not been my final work before retirement, Michael Beirne would be my first choice in any further endeavors. We became and remained good friends. We still share the satisfaction of completing this wonderful project.
